- Maine Puts Topper On Obama Weekend Sweep, Obama Takes Delegate Lead With Wins In 4 States; Clinton Manager Steps Down - CBS News
- In the delegate chase, Obama has pulled ahead of Clinton, even when the support of uncommitted super delegates is figured in. According to CBS News estimates, Obama holds a razor-thin lead with 1,134 delegates overall to 1,131 for Clinton.

- The military masterminds’ of the Third Reich’s most sinister ambitions were embodied in their behemoth Sonnengewehr, or “Sun Gun” project? an orbital weapon intended to exact fiery punishment upon the enemies of the Third Reich.
wh44 said: “Mostly the generation that lived through it doesn’t talk about it. The next generation or so has done a lot of soul-searching and there was a lot of rebellion - similar to the U.S. rebellion in the 60s over Vietnam. The current generation mostly doesn’t t…

- Starbucks announces free WiFi | Computerworld Blogs
- Starbucks Corp. today announced that it’s dumping longtime partner T-Mobile, and switching to AT&T. Best of all, Starbucks announced that WiFi will now be free in many stores for the first two hours (as I predicted).
ok, the $19.99/mo is if you want unlimited access. Yes, the Starbucks card will only get you 2 hours/day, but that’s 2 hours/day for FREE by having a Starbucks card (which is and always have been free, and this article in NO WAY STATES the card will carry a fee).

- Asked to explain the sudden groundswell of opposition to Scientology, Lynn Fountain Campbell, who said she’d been part of the church for 40 years, said, “It’s just reached a critical mass. People just aren’t scared anymore.”
Scientology is a strange, ugly, nasty little cult. If you’re not aware of this, it’s from not looking. The biggest criminal conspiracy against the governments of the US and Canada was carried out by Scientology (caught and convicted, not conspiracy theory). People ha…

Patti Solis Doyle has done an extraordinary job in getting us to this point - within reach of the nomination - and I am enormously grateful for her friendship and her outstanding work. And, as Patti has said, this already has been the longest presidential campaign i…

- Campaigning in the State of Denial? | The Trail | washingtonpost.com
- Hillary has thus far neglected to congratulate Obama on his wins in Washington, Nebraska, Louisiana, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Maine (which is what most candidates would do). In fact, she has refused to acknowledge that they even occurred.
I am an independent and have been following and reviewing the record of every candidate in the race. I am, however, troubled by the inordinate amount of press and positive publicity Obama is getting, especially when compared to Clinton. I cannot but be frightened b…

- Cafferty File: Tell Jack how you really feel Blog Archive - Young people revved up for election? « - Blogs from CNN.com
- This week we saw more than 3 million voters under the age of 30 flooding the polls on Super Tuesday, turning out in record numbers in more than 20 states. The fact is Obama probably owes thanks to young people for a lot of his Super Tuesday victories. In fact, Obama won the youth vote in 19 of the 22 states that voted on Tuesday.
As a 24 year old, I have had the privilege of voting in the 2004 election, as well as in this one. However, something is different this time, and greatly so. I voted Kerry in 2004, wanted to see a change in leadership, but not because I felt Kerry could do anything a…

- Video: Sony Ericsson's XPERIA X1 "Panel Interface" - Engadget
- Wondering what the XPERIA X1’s magical mystery “panel interface” is? Good, us too. Now we’ve got a preview courtesy of Sony Ericsson. If it functions this quick in hand as it does in the promotional video then Sony Ericsson might just be on to something here.
Why? I love the form factor, but in terms of software, it looks to me like they’ve just added a glorified app launcher. You know what your calendar and e-mail program looks like - I think clearly designed icons and labels would do the job a lot more clearly, especi…

- Inhabitat » Artificial Energy Islands Could Power The World
- Ocean waves are already being used as a source of renewable energy, but could differences in water temperatures in the sea be our next source of green power? A decade old idea to generate renewable electricity for the globe with offshore, floating Energy Islands could soon become a reality.
That’s really cool–what great “out-of-the-box” thinking. I wonder if the “floating island” will be able to withstand hurricanes experienced in these areas?

- UPDATED: Hackers - 1 : SP1 - 0 | Hardware 2.0 | ZDNet.com
- With the launch of SP1 Microsoft promised to put an end to two popular hacks used by pirates to allow a non-genuine install of Windows Vista to function in the same way as a genuine install. Testing that Ive carried out in the lab today suggests that Microsoft has been true to its word.
Testing both these methods of circumventing Windows activation and Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) has shown me that SP1 effectively ignores both these hacks.? Systems that previously were shown to be genuine prior to the installation of SP1 then require activation -…

http://digg.com/educational/Scientology_Protest_in …
Are there not more important things you could be rallying against? (I could give you about a million examples)
I support the idea of ‘anonymous’ but this is a horrible direction. This crusade against Scientology only serves to make a mockery of what ‘anonymous’ should and could be.
Wake the fuck up people. You are making fools of yourself while the real problems are being ignored.
I hope - no, I pray - you all find the will to rally against something that actually matters.
- A concerned citizen
I would have preferred to see: “HONK if you think religion preys on the mentally weak, and scientology is no better than any others. Established religion has stories that are just as wacky, but we’ve just been exposed to them for so long that it doesn’t even phase us. If someone wants to give their money away and they’ve found something that works for them, then why not?”
I would have honked for that.
