This is not just a Jessica Simpson movie, there are other huge names in this movie, Luke Wilson being the most obvious. This is basically a chick movie, cheap to make and reliable for profit. There was obviously not enough promoting done for the small scale release in Texas. Plus, keep in mind that one of the greatest movies of the year were released this Friday: Sweeny Todd.

You are missing Quake 3… I actually purchased a Quake 3 tin containing the Linux executable on the disc. To play it in Windows I had to download the Point release. Goes to show they really want to be available for more than just Windows.

It was basically a list of all the Linux ‘3d’ games with the blaring exception of Quake 3 and 4, and the UTs. Common, bztanks has been around for over a decade. Danger Deep would belong on there also. And why is frets on fire even on there? The reviewer needs to actually do some research.

Expensive bottled water, unfortunately, is nothing new. This may top the list in terms of being the most expensive though.

The stupid thing is that bottled water isn’t even regulated by the EPA like tap water is, it’s regulated by the FDA. Which is all well and good, because FDA standards for bottled water are better than EPA standards, right? Except the FDA has about 1 person to regulate the entire industry, compared to the hundreds of people that do the same for the EPA. Bottled water has been consistently tested and found to have more impurities in it than tap water, such as arsenic.

The final kick in the face is that most bottled water comes from municipal supplies.

Check out the map they provide for ‘conservation areas’ and then ask yourself why Ted Turner is now the largest land owner in America with over 2 million acres of land? Come on guys….do the research….they’ve been doing it for 60 years.

As I understand it, the major news networks are owned by the entertainment divisions of their parent companies. The are never about accurately reporting the news, but rather about entertaining us so we keep coming back to watch, so they can keep selling commercials. Realistically, though, is there any approach that could result in the “most important” stories being covered in 30 minutes (or 60 or what ever). Different viewers will think different stories should have been covered. Since you can’t please everyone, the news networks appear to be most focused on their own survival. I hate it, too … and that’s why I get my news from the Internet … Reddit, mostly.

It will always unfortunately stay this way until the news outlets receive funding from sources besides advertising. Advertising dollars naturally flow to where viewers’ desires are, not necessarily to where viewers’ needs are.

The only reason it’s not “administered by the government” is that the government has contracted out the chore of enforcement. It most assuredly is a tax, mandated by the government, on anyone with a TV in Britain. And the enforcers have the right to break into, and search, you home at any time if they think you’re harboring an “illegal” monitor.

Yup. Which is why we’ll never allow it to happen again.

That is why I like BBC, The Hindu, and Al-Jazeerah better. Are they biased? sure, but at least there is an attempt to not be biased. I can’t appreciate the same effort from CNN or MSM in America.

I agree with you but I think that if news stations actually reported news there’d be more than enough time for all major stories of a National nature and World News would be covered fairly well also. It’s all in the Scheduling really. But when you have such a small window for actual news your going to have difficulty reporting on anything with any real depth.

Looked at the panorama plugin, doesn’t look like it supports adjusting for lens effect for stitching - basically a primitive ‘move 8 layers around manually’ tool.

It now just comes up “access denied.” Google still has the original information in its cache here. I read in a textbook of a baby who received shock therapy. The baby was throwing up after eating, and as a last resort, the parents were advised to give shock therapy to the baby. A short while after they started, the baby no longer threw up, and was healthy once again.

It’s difficult to decide whether or not it should be legal. Some claim it’s great, while others see pain and torture. If it were me, I would be fore it. It’s still a last resort for me, but I feel that if used correctly, it’s excellent!

what if you use it against them? print out the ad from the website and photoshop the price down and print it. the guys in customer service will probly just know the website prices are lower and give it to you.

oh and there’s nothing shady about re-directing a wifi page to their in-store site instead of their internet site? someone needs to look into this deception, if true.

Why is it bad to do this? Does the kiosk say that it is the online website? Many stores treat their online store and B&M store differently.

BTW, they take it to another level as well, if you surf their webiste from a mobile device such as a blackberry and they auto-detect that its a mobile device, you get the in-store kiosk prices, not the website. That yellow disclaimer IS on the mobile device, but very hard to see.

Giblet spoke like a jackass, but there was a slight (tiny) bit of truth buried under there. Prices vary from place to place, it all depends on the location of the store, even if they’re in the same general region. For example, my store carries special triple-packs of printer ink for $50, and a few other stores in the region don’t have that item, or have them for higher prices. It all depends on the demographics of the area. Ask people in different stores in your area and they may tell you the same thing.

Actually, everything I knew turned out to be right.

I acquired a few bottles from Europe from one of frances original distilleries of the green goddess. The stuff has a very strong anise (black liccorice flavor) If you can handle the taste your probably gonna love the stuff. 2 shots and I’m a laughing idiot. It’s hard to describe. you don’t feel drunkish, it’s more of a laughing gas kinda buzz. very happy and chatty at least for me.
When I have friends over to try it I can always tell when it’s working because they get this huge smile on their face that stays for the rest of the night. Only con I see is it’s very very expensive. 120+ a bottle, but worth it for special occasions.

Anyone else notice that the preparation method used in the video on the page is NOT the traditional method?

It taste like shit and does next to nothing besides get you drunk. Save your money and drink normal? liquor.

I’m biased because I support Ron Paul. I think Ron Paul looked unprepared and that bothered me. Tim Russert’s M.O. is always the same and he didn’t change with Dr. Paul. It seems he could’ve expected the earmarks question as that just came out in the Chronicle. Oh well.
