  Thats it, lets all jump on the bad cop bandwagon. You realise that once tasers are taken away from cops, and are replaced with something else, people are just going to get shit pissed at something else cops do right?

  Stop believing media. It lies to you.

  I find it hard to believe 90% of the people here watching and actually listened to the interview. This is the Police side of the story that seems reasonable with the video shown. She was told she was now creating a disturbance and to stop, she didn’t. She was told she was under arrest and she fled custody. She was tased for resisting and running away from the Cop for being Disorderly, nothing to do with the original call for service.

  Also before you go crying about tasers, learn a little. I have taken Police classes, that included tasers, stun gun and pepper spray. Pepper spray, if it works on you is much worse pain-wise. The burning continues for hours after being sprayed. Stun guns just hurt for a while you are being shocked, didn’t incapacitate me though. Tasers are meant to stop you from what you are doing and they do that well. After the shock is done the pain stops, it isn’t shock therapy.

  How about just letting the cop do her investigation instead of being a dumb ass. She would have been on her way in 30 seconds once the CC matched her DL.

  What ever happened to good ole fashioned rubber bullets

  Apparently now if you don’t answer a police officer’s question, they can shoot you with a real firearm, or choose the less-letahl Taser:

  “Wright was not disciplined, and police Chief Mike Chitwood defended her actions. Beeland was refusing an officer’s orders, and using a Taser avoided use of other weapons, he said.”

  Why didn’t the police woman use her most effective weapon - her brain - instead of the Taser? If she can’t handle loud people without the Taser she is in the wrong line of work!

  I say we all start carrying tasers. Just taser anyone who doesn’t do what you want. Including cops.

  No it’s not. Most arrests are made without violence. I have over 100 investigators working at our company and they make arrests every day in just this sort of situation and violence is almost never necessary. This use of force is plain BS.

  Maybe listen to what the woman was trying to say? What the video doesn’t show, and what nobody has ever said is what happened before the Tasing. How long did they talk at the counter? Why was she so upset? I’ve seen the video and it doesn’t appear that the cop was justified, but without a context it’s impossible to tell.

  Just obey. Just do what they say. Right or wrong, just or unjust, good cop or bad — it doesn’t matter. If they are abusing their authority — it doesn’t matter. If you are completely innocent — it doesn’t matter. Just obey.

  When a cop says “I’m placing you under arrest” and you walk away, as this preson clearly did, then you are resisting arrest no matter whether or not the cop is justified for arresting you.
